Promo.

This week we’ve been talking about doing something that matters, using our passion to accomplish something for the kingdom, for the greater good.  Today I want your input.  I want you to share about someone you know who’s doing that.  Whether they’re missionaries, or schoolteachers feel free to brag on them a little bit today.  Share a link to their site, let us know what we can do to support them.

Passion.

I’ve seen passion for a lot of things: Passion for saving the rainforest, passion for a certain political candidate, passion for winning an argument.  I’ve seen passion for good cooking, passion for good beer, and passion for good music.  Passion seems to permeate our culture.  Nowadays everyone has a passion for something.  Yet, rarely have I seen or heard about a church with passion for God.  Continue Reading…

Blake Mycoski is an incredible character.  An entrepreneur who stumbled into the idea of a shoe company while on a mission trip has grown TOMS Shoes from a living room project to a countrywide business.  Founded on the simple model of “one for one,” they ignited the idea that by buying a pair of shoes from them meant a pair of shoes for you and a pair for a child in need.  Continue Reading…
