Social media has revolutionized the way businesses are doing marketing.  The days of Mad Men who simply tell society what we want has passed and advertisers are trying to create buzz, to engage their customers, and other popular catchphrases.  Many churches have maintained the same marketing strategy as they have before.  Churches continue to hold revivals, potlucks, and cantatas hoping that people will just happen to walk in the door and get engaged.  Other churches totally neglect all forms of marketing, they simply exist and wait for someone to come to them. Why We Love Making Fun of Old Women

Last week across several social media platforms I read about a woman who had given Olive Garden an incredible review in her local newspaper.  The restaurant had just opened in her small town of Grand Forks, North Dakota and so she went to check it out.  Her review was in-depth, well written, and lavished praise on the chain restaurant.  Then the news went viral.  Message boards and social networks were buzzing with mockery.  Giving a chain restaurant a good review leads to people looking down on you I guess.
