Top Books I Read in 2012 – Part 1

Top Books I Read in 2012 Part 1I read a lot of books.  I absolutely love reading so it isn’t a problem for me to get through 50 books a year.  At the end of the year, I make this list.  So you don’t have to wade through all the bad ones.  This is the first installment of my top ten books that I read in 2012.

10 – Viral – Leonard Sweet

The church is missing out on the incredible potential of our social media generation.  Sweet offers a Biblical approach to those wanting to make a difference online.

9 – God & Football – Chad Gibbs

Can a Christian love college football?  Chad attempts to answer that as he wrestles with his faith and his fanaticism for Saturdays in the fall.

8 – Steve Jobs – Walter Isaacson

A great biography on perhaps the greatest innovator of our lifetimes.  Shows Jobs as a genius, but also as a tyrant.

7 – Game of Thrones – George R. R. Martin

After watching two seasons of the show I figured it was time to read the book that started it.  I was super impressed.  I can’t believe it took me so long to pick this up.

6 – Prodigal God – Timothy Keller

Growing up in church, I’ve always struggled to connect myself to the prodigal son story.  Until reading this book. But Keller describes my “elder brother” condition like no one I’ve ever heard before.
