A month of so ago here at Life As Experienced I had the chance to interview several people who are on the ground doing ministry in Joplin, Missouri in the aftermath of the tornado that hit the city on May 22. For the next week myself and a group of 9 others from Northside Christian Church will be traveling to Joplin, in an effort to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We’ll be posting here at the end of each day with a summary of the day as well as a picture of two and hopefully a brief glimpse of what God is teaching us through this trip.

We set out early this morning (around 5am to be exact) and drove nearly all day before stopping in Louisville for the night. After several stops and a few naps we arrived at our hotel in time for a couple hours to unwind before dinner. Tomorrow holds another 8 hours or so in the van before we reach our destination. In the morning we’ll be worshiping at Southeast Christian Church before heading to St. Louis and then on to Joplin.

Over the next week we’ll be building sheds, calling people about helping them, and trying to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Check in each evening to read about our exploits each day and hear about the cool stuff God is doing in Joplin.
